On plans of the school we plotted our
movements on a randomly selected average day. We noticed
that the busiest area on all our plans was the main
staircase and the corridor off it, especially in an
out of room 9 where the class is registered.
When designing our new school we would look to make
any main staircase wider and important corridors wider.
We may consider laying out the rooms or timetable in
a new way so pressure on the corridors and stairs is
reduced. This will be safer and more pleasant for everyone.
